We had a fun time celebrating with our families this year. We did things a little differently with the Thomas family this year since we were celebrating Christmas day in Shreveport and leaving for the beach with the Thomas's right after Christmas. We opened gifts with Mom and Pop Bond when they were up for the Christmas program at church. Aubrey enjoyed drilling in Pop's shirt pocket!
We celebrated with my Mom's side on Sunday before Christmas. We enjoyed a wonderful meal and gift exchange at my grandmother's house.
Aubrey and Ella admiring the new Hello Kitty blanket and Addison trying to figure out what to do with the wrapping paper.
Kelly and Mom checking out a new toy.
Aubrey and Jules checking out his new trucks!
My sweet Grandma makes the best food. We LOVE going to eat at Grandma's! After dinner and the kids gift exchange, we enjoyed a fun gift exchange amongst the adults. Seth got a gift card and I got a speaker box for the iPad/iphone and a digital picture frame (something I've always wanted, ha)! We were both happy, happy, happy!
Kate just hung out during the chaos. I'm sure she was wondering what was going on!
One night as we were going through Aubrey's typical bedtime routine, I put a ticket on the couch with his Santa hat that said "good for one car ride to look at Christmas lights while enjoying chocolate milk and popcorn!". He got more excited about the ticket than anything else, I think! We drove around the neighborhood for 20 minutes or so looking at lights while we listened to Christmas music. We stopped at one house that had their lights synchronized to the Trans Siberian Orchestra radio! I think we were more into it than Aubrey. Oh well. We will try again next year!
My mom had Aubrey and the cousins over to decorate cookies and Christmas trees. We gave Aubrey a spoon to help smooth the icing on the cone but it just helped him shovel more icing into his mouth! Silly boy!
We enjoyed Christmas at home this year. It was nice to have our family celebrations spread out so it wasn't to rushed on Christmas day (especially since the weather was nasty). We enjoyed a nice breakfast and then dug into presents!
Check out this cutie!
Aubrey loved his new guitar and bike!
My attempt to get their picture together. He was just to interested in his new gifts!
We enjoyed lunch and exchanging gifts with my parents at their house later Christmas day. Kate loved being in Nana's arms-perfect for napping!
Aubrey and Ella couldn't wait to tear into the presents.
Kate hung out during the madness of opening gifts. She was such a trooper.
This was definitely the year for trucks...and pajamas....I think we got more than you can count on one (probably two) hand(s) of both things.
Aubrey helping Dad/PeePaw open his "future fire hero" picture frame that Aubrey gave him with his picture in it.
We ended the day at my aunt's house in Stonewall for the O'Neal family exchange. Aubrey and Kate (and Seth and I) are so blessed to have SO many family members that love them and shower them with sweet gifts!
