Fall Fun & Festivities

I'm SO far behind on the blog. Here is a quick update on what we've been doing this fall. Even though we have had a new addition to the family, we've been enjoying some of the fun fall activities. (Yes, that means we've been out and about with a newborn. I keep her covered up so people won't see how tiny she is and judge! ;))
Aubrey loves to practice his golf swing in the front yard in the evenings when Dad gets home. He feels like a big boy with his golf hat.
Aubrey and Carter are like twins. They love so many of the same things and have so much fun playing together...I guess they are boys afterall. I love how they are wearing gear supporting the colleges their mamas went to. I can't wait for Claire (Carter's little sister) and Kate to play together too!
Fall is one of my favorite times of the year and includes so many of my favorite events like football, festivals, and beautiful weather. Even though Kate was a week old (don't judge), we made a trip to the Red River Revel!
Aubrey loved the grocery shopping. He bought all of his favorite things-chocolate milk, cookies, brownies, cereal....
After the big dig and grocery shopping, we grabbed dinner and listened to some bands play. Aubrey really enjoyed the music and food (corn dog and funnel cake). He was dancing and just having a grand old time. Made this mama happy to see him enjoy it all as much as I have since I was a child.

We live a few blocks away from Byrd High School and every fall we look forward to their homecoming parade that goes through our neighborhood. This year we had some friends, the Nida's, who actually live on the parade route. Several families from our church that live in the area met up and the kids got to enjoy it together.

The kids loved seeing the band, court, and floats as well as catching candy.
One of Aubrey's best friends, Eva, turned three. She had an ice cream parlor themed party. Aubrey loves any birthday party but throw in ice cream cones AND cupcakes AND candy....he was in heaven.  Side note: I just realized that in the last couple of pictures Aubrey has had on navy pants and Tech blue shirts...we don't always dress him in that attire...ha. One was a game day.
We went to pick out a pumpkin at the pumpkin patch. Aubrey had a fun time running around and turning over pumpkins :)
Since Aubrey was having so much fun, he didn't really want his picture taken so we only got some with Kate.

Aubrey has been making some fun faces lately. I can't imagine where he gets them from (ahem). :) I don't think we got a smile from him until we picked out our pumpkin.

Aubrey is such a good helper. He loves to help "fix" things. If you ask him to do something for you or fix something with you, he perks right up. This has been helpful when I'm occupied with Kate and need something. He will (most of the time) run and get whatever it is I need (like wipes or my cell phone). He was glad to help pull the wagon to get our pumpkin.
We found THE one! Now, Dad and Aubrey use their muscles to load it into the cart.
 There's that smile!
To be continued.....
