20-21 months

From December and January:

Our baby boy is turning more and more into a little boy each day! He is talking SO much. He repeats the last thing you say all the time. If you ask him, "apple or banana?" he will say "banana" but if you ask, "banana or apple" he will say "apple". So funny. One of our favorite things to hear him say is ambulance. It's such a big word and the way he says it just cracks us up!

He is doing well identifying animals, their sounds, body parts and characters he reads about or sees on tv. He LOVES music. There are times when I feel like he is singing just on his own with no music playing. One way I know he is singing is he'll say, "Jeesuuus". It's so sweet.
Aubrey LOVES to be around other children. He walks right into Sunday School and his class at BSF with no fuss anymore. He thrives on being around and playing with other kids. He and his good friend and neighbor, Eva, have really created a bond and people can see it when they are together. They both have LOTS of energy and feed off of one another. They are going to be "double trouble" down the road! We were having a Christmas block party and they were running around the house together. I walked into the bathroom to find them with a broom in the toilet, one kid splashing in the toilet and the other shaking the broom. It was not funny. I can tell right now that he will have lots of crazy stories to tell of the mischief he gets into just like his daddy! :)

Eva and Aubs doing what they do best...eating!
The "terrible terrific twos" has begun! Often times, he thinks he is being cute and will flash his cheesy grin at us. Sometimes, we can't help but laugh! He's just so darn cute and funny. Oh the joys (and struggles) of parenthood.
Fun times at Carter's birthday party
Aubrey has so much energy that we have to stay busy or he will be climbing the walls at home. One day we went out for our walk and he was supposed to ride in his wagon but would not get in. He kept saying, "push, push". So for our entire walk he either pushed or pulled the wagon.
Just a swingin' at the park
Shelby, our Labradoodle, and Aubrey are being more playful with one another. Aubrey finally figured out how to give Shelby a hug without just leaning into her. He will walk up to her and say, "horse, horse". I don't know where that came from but I'm thinking she is big (like a horse) and he wants to ride her! When we push Aubrey around in his truck, Shelby gets excited and chases him or playfully runs ahead of him. Shelby also enjoys it when Aubrey practices his golf swing or throwing. She will fetch the ball...it's a win win for both of them!
The boy loves to read.
Another one of Aubrey's favorites is a blanket. Since it has been cooler, we have been keeping warm with blankets. Aubrey can not sit on the couch without having a blanket.
