The day after Seth returned from South Sudan, I hosted a baby shower for my best friend from high school, Valerie. As you can see she was expecting a little girl, Claire, who made it safely and swiftly into this world! We had a fun "sweet" themed shower for her.

For Valentine's day, Aubrey and I decorated cookies. This was my first time to do this with him. He didn't quite get the idea of brushing, not stabbing, the cookie.
Thankfully, Aubrey had not been sick this "cold and flu" season...until this month. He got RSV and a stomach bug all within two weeks. I think I picked up some of his RSV bug because when we went snow skiing in Angel Fire, New Mexico, I was begging for humidity just so my nasal passages and sinuses would not burn! TMI? Anyway, we took our sick child to NM for his first trip to the mountains. Once there, we were questioning if that was the smartest decision (toddler adjusting to altitude and being sick=not much fun). But, it turned out to be fun and we got to spend some good time with the Thomas fam. Seth got some good skiing in while I only managed a whopping one hour the whole time due to my sinus funk
Aubrey made a big leap towards becoming a big boy this month when he started Mother's Day Out! I started researching programs after I realized I could no longer shop or, more importantly, grocery shop with him. I also had a hard time finding babysitters to watch him during the day if I needed to go to an appointment. I found this great program at a church nearby and from the moment he walked him...he hasn't looked back. He LOVES "school" and being around his friends. He gets his energy out playing and doing other fun things while I can be productive also. It has been a huge blessing with the crazy month or two we have had lately.

| First day of MDO |
I just had to include this last picture because it makes me laugh. When we got back from the ski trip, Aubrey had a thing for boots, "cow-boots", and hats. One morning when I was getting ready, I looked up to find him like this on our bed. You can't really tell but he has his cow-boots on and his ski hat while reading one of his current favorite books, "oppa-sits".
He makes me laugh. He is an accessory king just like his Daddy! And finally....
my eggo is prego! This is what I gave to Seth when he returned from South Sudan to tell him it was official...we were having kiddo #2. I am 12 weeks along and due October 11. We are super excited and anxious about this next step and addition in our lives. We are excited to find out what we will be having next month because the Chinese calendar says girl! We don't have a preference either way. Just excited to find out if Aubrey will have a little boy or girl playmate!
