We've Moved!

So, the last few months have been crazy around our house. A few days after Seth and I got back from Mexico (mid March), we put our house up for sale. There were several reasons why but some of the main reasons were a bigger back yard (and safer front yard since we lived up on a hill), extra bedroom, and family friendly neighborhood (not that ours wasn't but it was just in the middle of town and we couldn't just let the kids ride down to their friends house when they get older). We had VERY mixed emotions about this decision since we lived next door to some of our best friends, we loved our house, and we loved the neighborhood for it's character/maturity/convenience/friends, etc.

The Lord's timing is perfect! Within the first week, we had a contract on our house. The following week we found a house we wanted to purchase. It was all working out way to quickly. There were a few bumps in the process but in the end it all worked out and on April 29 we closed! Seth and I could not really believe it was happening and even wondered if we were making the right decision throughout the process but the Lord kept affirming that this is where He wanted us. We, or I, shed quite a few tears as moving day approached. Especially when I would see these two....

 Que the tears.
This may have been the saddest part. Separating these two. We have shared a lot of good memories with our neighbors, John and Courtney. Before kids we would play jokes on one another. After kids came along, we would put the kids/babies to bed and then send the guys to one house and girls to the other or just take the monitors outside and sit on the front porch swing or around a fire just talking and laughing. That was amazing to have as new parents when you are stuck at home during those early infant months. It's been SO MUCH FUN living next to our friends. Since this is our first home, we don't know any different. We have been spoiled blessed by the many sweet memories we have made here!

A few pics to remember our first home!

But, we are excited about what the future holds in our new house and new neighborhood. Aubrey and Kate have done amazing throughout this transition. Aubrey loves his new room, house, yard, and park(!) behind our house (I've had to tell him over and over that the playground is not his but the neighborhoods!). We are very thankful for the house and it is far beyond what we were initially searching for. It is perfect for our family and we have already enjoyed hosting several gatherings in our new home!

A beautiful rainbow behind our house a few days after we moved in!

A BIG THANK YOU to all of our family and friends who helped us move! It went so smoothly and quickly! So, if/when you are in the area, holler at us or stop by! The door is open and we have plenty of room for guests!! :)

Now I'm off to get my tissues!
