We had a holly jolly Christmas! part 1

We had a great Christmas this year! And I don't just say that because we all got what we wanted (and them some) but because our families are healthy, happy and blessed.

This year, Aubrey and I both got new rides! Seth's grandparents (Mom and Pop Bond) got Aubrey a truck. This boy has wanted his own "car" ever since he knew they existed at someone's birthday party six months ago. Now, he doesn't have to hog his friend's rides! He LOVES his truck!
Seth surprised me with a new car a few weeks before Christmas! He kept it a secret until the moment he pulled up to the house in it with a big red bow on it! I felt like I was in one of those Lexus commercials...except I was getting an awesome Honda Pilot! It fits our family perfectly! Shelby even approves. She jumped right into the back of it on her first ride and comfortably rode down to Lake Charles in it. Good job, Seth!
One night, we had a Christmas dinner with some close friends. Aubrey and his good buddy, Carter, exchanged gifts and they both got each other the same thing....Mr. Potato Head! We thought it was so funny because Aubrey and Carter have so many similarities already (don't they look alike?)!
My family celebrated Christmas together before the big day since we were in Lake Charles for the big day. We enjoyed a nice dinner and then exchanged gifts. It was nice to have my sister's family and both of my grandmother's there.
Aubrey's other new ride....a wagon! This boy is riding in style! Every time he goes for a ride in his wagon he smiles the entire time!

Since we were out of town for the holiday, we gave Aubrey his "Santa" gifts a week early with just our little family. It was fun to set it all up for him. We did learn to be prepared earlier next year if "assembly required" is involved! Here is our little tree this year (since we did not get our tree up until two weeks before Christmas due to some unexpected events, we decided to keep our decor scaled down this year).
To be continued...

Wow, sounds like a great Christmas! What a dream to have a new car pull up with a big red bow just for you! I'm still waiting on that moment! ;)
